Baikal Lake Cruise

While cruising Baikal lake from Listvyanka village located in South of the lake to Ushkanji Isles yoBaikalu’ll escape from the everyday routine and discover the history of the area and its inhabitants. You will enjoy untouched nature of the most beautiful lake on the earth, swim in crystal-clear waters of Baikal and experience fishing.

   Day 1. Irkutsk

Arrival in Irkutsk. Meeting at the airport or railway station. Transfer to Baikal Business Center hotel. Accommodation. Sightseeing tour of Irkutsk including visits to the historical center, Znamensky Orthodox Cathedral noted for its original iconostasis and graves of the Decembrists. Lunch in downtown restaurant. Return to the hotel. Free time. Dinner at the hotel.

  Day 2. Listvyanka

Breakfast. Transfer to Listvyanka settlement (65 km). Lecture at Baikal EcologBaikal Lakey Museum, displaying the examples of the lake’s unique features of flora and fauna: stuffed animals, rich collection of minerals, different kinds of fish and other organisms inhabiting the lake. Visit to the old fishermen’s village o Krestovka and the Orthodox Church of St Nicolas. Boarding the vessel for a 4-day cruise around Baikal lake. Lounch and dinner on board. Night transfer to Olkhon island (14 hours).

  Day 3. Olkhon island

Arrival at Olkhon island. Visit to the Buryat fishermen village of Khuzhir. Walking tour to Burkhan Cape with famous Shamanka rock, a holy place for Buddhist worshippers. Visit to the local history museum. Lunch at a tourist base. Exploration tour of picturesque Olkhon bays. In the evening – fishing.

  Day 4. Olkhon island

Sailing to Ushkany Isles – a favourite place on the lake for fresh-water sealBaikals. Transfer to the Craig of Tsagan-Zaba to see white-marble cliffs with petrogliphs and rock drawings about 2500 years old, depicting scenes from the life of Shamanism believers.

  Day 5. Olkhon island

Seals watching. Night transfer to Peschanaya (Sandy) Bay, a picturesuqe spot in a popular recreational area. Walking tour to Babushka Bay.

  Day 6. Listvyanka

Transfer to Listvyanka. Lunch. Transfer to Irkutsk. Checkin at Baikal Business Center hotel. Free time. Dinner.

  Day 7. Irkutsk

Brakfast. Transfer to the airport or railway station. Departure. Baikal
