Olkhon Island

Day 1. Irkutsk - Listvyanka village

Arrival in Irkutsk. Meeting at the airport (the driver will be holding a sign “Russia Travel Group)”. Transfer to Listvyanka village (at Lake Baikal).

On route, visit to the Museum of Wooden Architecture. Accommodation at the hotel. Tour of the Baikal Ecological Museum. Walking guided tour of Listvyanka village. During of this tour you will see the Baikal Lake Museum followed by a sightseeing tour of the village, including a visit to the St. Nicolas Russian Orthodox Church.

In the evening we will have an opportunity to enjoy a real Siberian banya (sauna) - optional.

Travel by boat to Olkhon Island (13 hours). Lunch on board. 

Arrival in Khuzhir (on Olkhon Island). Visit to the Buryat fishermen village of Khuzhir. Walking tour to Burkhan Cape with famous Shamanka rock, a holy place for Buddhist worshippers. Visit to the local history museum. Lunch at a tourist base. Exploration tour of picturesque Olkhon bays.

In the evening – fishing.

Day 3. Olkhon Island

Hiking on the Island.

Day 4. Olkhon Island 

Fishing. Picnic at the lake shore. Siberian banya (sauna).

Day 5. Listvyanka village

Travel by boat to Listvyanka. Accommodation at the hotel.

Day 6. Irkutsk 

Transfer to Irkutsk. Departure.
