Vladivostok – Moscow 9 days / 8 nights tour

VladivostokDay 1. Vladivostok
Arrival in Vladivostok.
Meeting at the airport. (The driver will be holding the sign “Russia Travel Group”).
Transfer to the hotel located in the city center (Amyrskiy Zaliv, 3*). Accommodation for 3 nights. Check-in.
Free time.

Day 2. Vladivostok
8.00-9.30am Breakfast at the hotel.
10.00am Meeting with a guide at the hotel lobby. Departure to excursion.

Vladivostok panoramic city tour – all major city attractions. To appreciate its hodgepodge of history and commercialism, beauty and crumble, you have to explore on foot--and without fear. You guide will take alleyways off the main streets. In the center, off Fokina, Semyonovskaya, and Svetlanskaya, it’s worthwhile to take detours through every arch. Required walks include the waterfront areas. You will see the mermaid statue (a tribute Hans Christian Anderson) in the water of the Sporty Bay Vladivostok(Sportivnaya Gavan), near the Dinamo Stadium. Walk north, to the right, to observe strolling partakers of ice cream and/or beer. Or walk left, up the steps, towards the cinema complex Okean.

You might drink an espresso upstairs there / optional.

We will continue uphill along upper Naberezhnaya, passing the Amur Tiger statue and taking in views of the Amur Bay. Just past the Hotel Vladivostok, the road veers left and turns into Pervaya Morskaya. A quick detour down Street, including a bust of the explorer himself, and a scrappy smattering of wood houses looking very 19th-century.
You will see Triumph Arch after Tsesarevich Nikolay, built in 1981 to commemorate the visit of the future last Emperor of Russia to Vladivostok. The Arch was completely destroyed at Soviet time and built again according to the old pictures in 2003.
Also, you will see Milestone 9 288 km - the biggest figure in the world, showing the distance between the capital of Russia Moscow and its terminus Vladivostok.Vladivostok
Then you will visit Vladivostokskaya Fortress, constructed at the end of XIX c. and considered the strongest marine fortress in the world. A ship's cannon is placed at Bezymyannaya battery of the fortress nowadays. A shot is fired from this cannon at noon sharp to mark the exact time.
Finally, you will take a tour on the Vladivostok Funicular. It is the only one funicular in Russia. The length of the railway totals 180 meters. Ascending on the highest hill of Vladivostok "Orlinoye Gnezdo" hill at the height about 214 m takes 1.5 minutes.

Return to the hotel.

Day 3. Vladivostok
8.00-9.30am Breakfast.
10.00am Meeting with a guide at the hotel lobby. Departure to excursion.

The Headquarters of the Pacific Fleet and the famous submarine C-56, which sank 10 faschist ships during World War II. The submarine was put on the pedestal and turned inVladivostokto museum, so that the visitors can come inside of it to see the historical exhibits and such sections as the ensign section, periscope, and torpedo section.

Return to the hotel.

Day 4. Vladivostok
8.00-10.30am Breakfast.
Check-out.
11.00am Meeting with a guide at the hotel lobby. Departure to excursion.

During this excursion you will visit former Japanese Consulate bldg. and Oriental Institute bldg. where tutored Japanese professors Maeda Ketsugu, Matsuda Ei. Also, you will see monument Vladivostok_S_59to poetess Akiko Yosano.

Second part of excursion:

You will visit Oceanarium: there are live exhibits and dry exhibits, mostly of creatures from Peter the Great Bay and the surrounding areas. Also, nearby there is the outdoor Dolphinarium where you can see live fur seals and white whales.

Free time.

10.00pm Transfer to the airport.

01.30pm Departure for Moscow.

Day 4. Moscow
03.40pm Arrival to Moscow.
Meeting with a driver (the driver will be holding the sign Russia Travel Group).
Transfer to the hotel. Accommodation in a double room for 5 nights in Izmailovo – Vega hotel (breakfast is included).

Day 5. Moscow
8.00-9.30am Breakfast at the hotel.
10.00am Meeting with a guide at the hotel lobby. Departure to excursion.

The tour of Moscow City will present you one of the most beautiful sights of the capital of Russia.
We will start at your hotel and organize this tour depending on its location but it certainly will include the Red Square with the Kremlin, St.Basil's Cathedral and GUM Department Store. Then you will enjoy the panorama of Moscow from Sparrow hills. Turn around and watch the main building of Moscow State University.

Optional lunch in a local restaurant (the national Russian cuisine).

Next point in the itinerary is the Novodevichy Convent, situated not far from Luzhniki Olympic Stadium, on the bank of a small lake with white swans. That will remindMoscow embankment you of Swan Lake at Bolshoi theatre.
Continuing the city tour, you will pass along Kutuzov avenue and visit the Victory Park with its memorials, fountains and churches.
Free time for shopping, picture taking.

Transfer to the hotel.

Day 6. Moscow
8.00-9.30am Breakfast at the hotel.
10.00am Meeting with a guide at the hotel lobby. Departure to excursion.

Kremlin tour with visit the Cathedrals. The Kremlin has always been perceived as a symbol of power and might of the RuMoscowssian land. Each era of the Russian history left its architectural mark on the Kremlin. Within the Kremlin walls there are many architectural monuments, churches, cathedrals, museums, etc.

Optional lunch in a local restaurant (the national Russian cuisine).

After lunch we continue exploring Moscow downtown and feel the heartbeat of Russia on the famous Red Square widely known as the sight where the military parades were held during Soviet time. Then you’ll find yourself near the brightest symbol of the city – the extraordinary St.Basil Cathedral with its joyful multi-colored domes. Wander through the aisles of the enormous GUM shopping mall– a stunning architectural masterpiece of the late 19th century now facing the official residence of President of Russia – the Kremlin Senate and see the famous Saviour Chimes - a symbol of Moscow. Go down and up the moving stairs of the new underground shopping mall Okhotny ryad decorated with marbles, glass and fountains.
Finally, you will see the legendary Moscow Metro with its mosaics and frescos.

Day 7. Moscow
8.00-9.30am Breakfast at the hotel.
10.00am Meeting with a guide at the hotel lobby. Departure to excursion.

Excursion to the Tretyakov State Gallery - one of the world's largest museums, a treasure house of old Russian art from the 11th century till our days. The State Tretyakov Gallery is the national treasury of Russian fine art and one of the greatest museums in the world. The Gallery's collection consists entirely of Russian art and artists who have made à contribution to the history of Russian art or been closely connected with it. The collection contains more than 130 000 works of painting, sculpture and graphics, created throughout the centuries by successive generations of Russian artists.
Optional lunch in a local restaurant (the national Russian cuisine).

Second part of excursion: Moscow - Red Square / night

You will visit Izmaylovsky Flea Market.
Free time for shopping, picture taking.

Return to the hotel by Metro.

07.00pm  Optional evening performance at the Bolshoi Theatre.

Day 8. Moscow
8.00-9.30am Breakfast at the hotel.
10.00am Meeting with a guide and a driver at the hotel lobby.Departure to excursion.

Excursion to Sergiev Posad (70km / 46 – mile north from Moscow), the most popular town on the Golden Ring route. The monastery houses the Russian Patriarch's temporary residence. In the monastery you will visit St. Trinity Cathedral where the shrine with St. Sergey's relics is stored, and the Assumption Cathedral that repeats its form after the Assumption Cathedral in the KreMoscow - Novodevichy Conventmlin.
The most beautiful part of the monastery is represented by two similar constructions one of which is the Ecclesiastical Academy and Seminary and the other the Refectory with the Church of St. Sergiy. You will see Holy Uspensky gates, Holy Trinity Cathedral, Assumption Cathedral, Sergius Well Chapel, Towers, Refectory, Church of the St. Micah, Sacristy, Church of the Holy Spirit, Trinity Sergius Monastery, Old Russian Applied Art Museum, Chertogi Palace, Kelarskiye Ponds, Church of St. Paraskeva Pyatnitsa, Church of the Presentation of the Mother of God etc.

Optional dinner at the restaurant "Skazka".

Return to the hotel.

Day 9. Moscow
8.30-10.30am Breakfast at the hotel.
12.00pm Check-out. The Kremlin
