The Golden Ring of Russia: Vladimir - Suzdal - Sergiev Posad (New)

Day 1. Moscow - Vladimir - Suzdal - Sergiev Posad (Zagorsk)

06.00am Meeting with a guide and driver at the hotel lobby. Departure to excursion.
Departure for Vladimir.

09.30-10.00am Arrival in Vladimir.

Tour of Vladimir. You will see the masterpieces of the Russian architecture of XII century - the Golden Gates, the Assumption and St. Demetrius Cathedrals, expositions "Nobility", "the Russian House”.

11.00am Departure for Suzdal`. 

12.00pm Tour of Suzdal - the unique open-air museum with magnificent monuments of the Russian stone and wooden architecture of XIII - XVIII centuries, with rich icon and applied art collection, bell music concerts. You will see Suzdal Kremlin, the Cross Chambers, Spaso - Ephimievsky Monastery, Saviour's Transfiguration cathedral.

01.00pm Lunch (the Russian national cuisine) at a local restaurant.

02.00pm Departure for Sergiev Posad.

05.00-05.30pm Arrival in Sergiev Posad.

Sergiev Posad, the most popular town on the Golden Ring route. The monastery houses the Russian Patriarch's temporary residence. In the monastery you will visit St. Trinity Cathedral where the shrine with St. Sergey's relics is stored, and the Assumption Cathedral that repeats its form after the Assumption Cathedral in the Kremlin. The most beautiful part of the monastery is represented by two similar constructions one of which is the Ecclesiastical Academy and Seminary and the other the Refectory with the Church of St. Sergiy. You will see Holy Uspensky gates, Holy Trinity Cathedral, Assumption Cathedral, Sergius Well Chapel, Towers, Refectory, Church of the St. Micah, Sacristy, Church of the Holy Spirit, Trinity Sergius Monastery, Old Russian Applied Art Museum, Chertogi Palace, Kelarskiye Ponds, Church of St. Paraskeva Pyatnitsa, Church of the Presentation of the Mother of God etc.

07.00pm Return to Moscow.

Transfer to the hotel in the evening.
