Day 1. Moscow - Pereslavl Zalessky - Sergiev Posad (Zagorsk)

07.00am Meeting with a guide and driver at the hotel lobby. Departure for Pereslavl Zalessky.

09.30-10.00am Arrival in Pereslavl Zalessky.

Tour of Pereslavl Zalessky. You will see and visit the Goritsky Monastery, the Fyodorovsky Monastery, the Cathedral of the Transfiguration located on the Red Square. You will visit the Botik Museum and Nikitsky Monastery (X century), Alexander’s hill, Plesheevo lake and "Blue Stone" that used to have sacrifices made to Pagan Gods.

Lunch (you will taste traditional Russian food)

02.00pm Departure for Sergiev Posad.

03.30-04.00pm Arrival in Sergiev Posad.

Sergiev Posad, the most popular town on the Golden Ring route. The monastery houses the Russian Patriarch's temporary residence. In the monastery you will visit St. Trinity Cathedral where the shrine with St. Sergey's relics is stored, and the Assumption Cathedral that repeats its form after the Assumption Cathedral in the Kremlin. The most beautiful part of the monastery is represented by two similar constructions one of which is the Ecclesiastical Academy and Seminary and the other the Refectory with the Church of St. Sergiy. You will see Holy Uspensky gates, Holy Trinity Cathedral, Assumption Cathedral, Sergius Well Chapel, Towers, Refectory, Church of the St. Micah, Sacristy, Church of the Holy Spirit, Trinity Sergius Monastery, Old Russian Applied Art Museum, Chertogi Palace, Kelarskiye Ponds, Church of St. Paraskeva Pyatnitsa, Church of the Presentation of the Mother of God etc.

07.00pm Return to Moscow.

Transfer to the hotel in the evening.
